RUBJERG KNUDE LIGHTHOUSE

Right on the edge of the impressive Rubjerg Knude sand dune stands the lighthouse. The untamed nature and autumn storms eat the cliff which the lighthouse stands on and it has gradually moved dangerously to the edge, close to falling into the sea. In 2019 it was decided to try to move it. They moved sand away from the dunes in order to put rails down where it would roll inlands. People gathered to attend this unique event. With thousands of eyes on the lighthouse, it quietly and as planned rolled into Rubjerg Knude. The team succeeded in moving the lighthouse, which now has maybe 30 more years to live. DYNJANDI

Cascade Waterfall

Long-time exposure using ND filters. After following winding roads and passing by numerous fjords a fabulous view cleared sight to Dynjandi and its enormes waters plunging downwards. People are occupying the place to make photographs and selfies while the sun peeking out the mountain contrasts the scenery with light and shadow unveiling the majesty of the moment.

SPACEWALK

Drone shot in the morning dawn. After a long walk through the black desert, I finally reached the famous plane wreck. The twilight of flat sun-rays partly illuminate the rocks on black lava sand. From above, it seems like being in space, walking among stars and meeting the lonely space shuttle.

SKÓGAFOSS

The early bird catches the worm or as in my case the horse. Firstly I was a bit disappointed for being not the first on the spot. But accepting the moment and getting into the flow I was able to see the gift that was presented to me. So I took part in this photo shooting and benefited from an unexpected beauty at the catwalk.

NAUTHÚSAGIL

A magical space secretly hidden and obscured by a narrow canyon not far from the better known waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Gljúfrabúi is Nauthúsagil waterfall. After wading through a small river you finish the walk by climbing alongside chains on stony walls. At the very end of the trail the water breaks thru the sky accompanied by its mighty friend the sun - a scenery created for poets and legends.

PUFFINS

These cute little fellows are occupying the cliffs all around Icelands sea shore. One of the most beautiful spot is Látrabjarg. Not an easy road trip but definitely worth it. If you are not among the first, photo hunters lurk side by side for their photographic prey to catch the best pictures and reveal the best spots to shoot. High above seagulls slide over an invisible thermodynamic highway closely passing by at the edge of the cliffs. A great chance for impressive shots.
